It is now official, after nearly 3 months of negotiation this afternoon I accepted an offer to join the faculty at Montana State University. I am very excited and pleased with the very generous offer and the opportunities to both set up and open my own laboratory and assume teaching responsibilities. My official start date is August 16 but my family and I are planning to seattle in to the magnificent Bozeman a week or two earlier. It will be sad to leave behind the great friends and work colleagues I have met and made here in Champaign illinois, yet I am looking forward to this next great chapter. I have started setting up, what will ultimately be, my lab website and you can link to it from this website. It is very much a work in progress at this stage (Feb 2012) but stay tuned and it will blossum.
